2010 ESST European Award for Aspiring Undergraduates in Science, Technology and Society (STS)

The European Masters Programme in Society, Science and Technology (ESST) is sponsoring an award of 1,000 € for the best undergraduate paper related to Science, Technology and Society. 

Undergraduates studying at any European university are eligible to apply.  Papers or essays must be between 2,000 and 3,000 words on any topic related to Science, Technology and Society (STS) and must be written in English. 

Applications should consist of a cover sheet available from:

www.esst.eu/award/cover.pdf

completed, printed out and affixed to each of four double-spaced copies of the paper or essay.  Applicants may not submit more than one piece of work.

and must arrive by the deadline of 30 June, 2010.

E-mail submissions will not be accepted; however, shortlisted applicants will be asked to provide electronic versions of their cover sheets and papers/essays.  The applications will be judged by a panel from at least three ESST universities in Europe, and the judges’ decisions will be final.   

The winning paper or essay will be posted on the ESST website.
