The MA in Innovation Studies explores the complex and dynamic
relationsbetween the social and technological forces that shape the
innovation process in an international context. The programme
draws upon the ethics, politics and regulation of science and
technology, relating these to theories in STS (Science, Technology and
Society) and the management of innovation.
A further aim is to understand how and why the costs and benefits of
innovationare distributed unevenly in society, particularly from the
standpoint of democracy, employment, economic and social justice,
race/gender and environmental sustainability.
