Institutional Profile
The focus for TIKs research is studies of the interaction between technology, science and changes in society. All projects are concerned with economical, political and cultural implications of changes and development within the fields of technology and science. The TIK centre holds a wide spectrum of competence, ranging from economy to the history of ideas.
Research Area
The TIK professional strategy goes explicitly after a binding interdisciplinary structure, and combinations of constructive and critical perspectives. TIK shall, as an example, be able to deliver policy oriented studies of and for developments in trade and industry, historical studies of technology and industry, political and ethical analyses of new technology as well as more general analyses of cultural aspects of scientific and technological phenomena. TIK has several overlapping chief specialities (Fields of interest) under which bundles of projects are organised, as seen in the overview of TIK fields of study.
